Worlds Best Waterparks

Water parks are the perfect way to spend a summer day or get a thrill on vacation. According to the World Waterpark Association, about 20.7 million people visited the top 20 international water parks in 2009. However, like any fun spot, there are those that outshine the rest and those are the places you want to spend those hard-earned vacation days

Aqualand in Corfu, Greece is an 18-acre park that is all about location, setting and resort quality service. In fact, you can have a massage in the sun or shade if you so wish. Bio tattoo artists are there to give you and your fellow adventurers a temporary tattoo. There is even an arcade. However, what you really want to do is hit the water there is a lot of it. Little kids and happy floaters can swim in the massive shallow pool. The family area has several large slides, rivers for rafting, a wave pool and a deep pool for bigger swimmers. Then, there are the adventure rides that contrast the lush, green landscape with insane drops and twists that are only for the big kids.

Aquaventure is part of the amazing Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. The 141-acre park is among the best destinations in the entire world, whether you are looking to relax or get a thrill. It has a shark pool that you jet under in a clear tube, 20 swimming areas, several themed waterslides, rivers for rafting and even a rock climbing area. If you stay at the resort, you get free admission to the park, so take advantage.

Noah's Ark Waterpark is one of the many water parks in the famous Wisconsin Dells. The Black Anaconda, a 1/4-mile stretch of thrilling waterslide fun, is enough to draw water park fans to Noah's Ark. There is also the Point of No Return, a tube slide that leaves people inside wondering when it will end. On top of great slides and bowl rides, there are relaxing pools, tubing areas, a surfing pool and kiddie rides. If you want to stay at least somewhat dry, battle on the pirate ships on Hooligan's Harbor, play at the arcade or try a dive-in movie.

Beach Park Beach Park is a thrilling Brazilian water park with fun, family attractions coupled with a beach park right on the ocean. The water park area of the complex has numerous waterslides. Every area, from pools to bowl rides, has foliage all around. You can get into the attraction and still feel the pull of the beautiful Brazilian landscape. When it is time to come in from the sun, your family can go to the attached Beach Park Wellness Resort. World Waterpark Canada is not exactly the sunshine country. In fact, it is pretty cold up there. It manages to have some of the chilliest weather in the Americas and one of the best water parks by putting World Waterpark indoors. No matter what time of year it is rain, shine, snow or sleet you can put on your bathing suit and go for a plunge. There are 17 great slides, but the real draw is a giant wave pool that is the biggest in the entire world.
